Cheesy layered taco dip with seasoned beef, refried beans, and sour cream, perfect for scooping.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 package Old El Paso taco seasoning
- 1 package Tex-Mex cheese
- 1 small container sour cream
- 2 bags Tostitos Scoops
- 2/3 cup water
Tools
- Cast iron pan or oven-safe skillet or just use a normal pan and an oven safe dish
Directions
Cook the beef
Brown the ground beef in a cast iron pan over medium heat. Add the taco seasoning and water, then simmer until the mixture thickens slightly. Preheat the oven while it cooks.
Add the beans
Stir in the refried beans until fully combined and heated through.
Layer the dip
Turn off the heat. Spread sour cream evenly over the beef mixture, then top with Tex-Mex cheese.
Bake
Place the pan in the oven and bake until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Serve
Serve hot with Tostitos Scoops.
Notes
- If your pan is not oven-safe, transfer the mixture to a baking dish before adding toppings.
- Let the dip cool slightly before serving to help it set.
